Roller Banner Sizes
The standard height for a roller banner is two metres – 2000mm – but the width can vary depending on your needs and available space. Our most popular sizes include:
- 800mm wide – compact and cost-effective
 - 850mm wide – our best-seller, ideal for most uses
 - 1000mm wide – gives a bit more presence

Need something with even more impact? Try our wide-format roller banners, available in 1200mm, 1500mm and 2000mm. These are particularly effective for photo backdrops, step-and-repeat branding* or covering large areas at exhibitions and product launches.
* ‘step-and-repeat’ is a printed background banner, typically featuring a repeating pattern of logos, often those of sponsors, the event hosts, or a particular brand that is being promoted. The name comes from how people “step up” to the backdrop, get their photo taken or do their interview, and then “repeat” – the next person does the same.
Double-Sided Roller Banners
Got footfall coming from all directions? A double-sided roller banner allows you to display different graphics (or the same) on both sides. These are ideal for open-plan spaces, event venues and retail environments where visibility matters.
You get twice the branding power in a single unit.
Roller Banners for Outdoor Use
If you’re exhibiting or promoting outdoors, you’ll need a roller banner system designed to handle the elements. We supply outdoor systems that include a hollow base which you can fill with water or sand for extra stability.
They’re designed to withstand wind and weather so your message stays put, even when the British weather plays up!
Premium Units: Reuse and Replace
Planning to attend multiple events throughout the year? A premium roller banner system is a smart investment. These allow you to swap out the graphics whenever you need, without buying a new stand each time.
It’s not only more cost-effective but also much better for the environment, reducing waste and extending the life of your hardware.
Material Options and Eco-Friendly Choices
We offer a range of print materials for roller banners, depending on your display needs and sustainability goals. These include:
- Greyback PVC – a durable material with a grey backing that stops light from shining through the graphic. It’s the industry standard for good reason.
 - PVC-free Greyback –our most popular eco alternative (currently under review due to material availability)
 - Recycled material options – we’re working with our suppliers to source the latest recycled and recyclable materials

Eco-Friendly Banner Alternatives:
Xanita Board (corrugated board) – a rigid and lightweight option made from natural fibreboard. Stands up using a wedge system, either made from the same material or a reusable steel base.

Cardboard and paper pop-up banners – a fully recyclable solution made entirely from paper-based materials. Great for short-term campaigns and events with an environmental focus.

Tips for Designing an Effective Roller Banner
Want your roller banner to stand out for the right reasons? Keep these design tips in mind:
- Keep it bold and simple – roller banners are often read at a distance, so focus on one clear message and don’t try to ‘cram in’ too much information
 - Put key content at eye level – this could be your headline, logo or main call to action.
 - Use high-resolution images and vector graphics – blurry banners won’t get the kind of attention you want and look unprofessional.
 - Stick to clear, legible fonts – sans-serif fonts tend to be the easiest to read from a distance.
 - Incorporate brand colours and logos – make your banner instantly recognisable.
 - Add QR codes – link to your website, social media, contact details or freebies – something to encourage people to take the next step.

Artwork Setup: How to Supply Your Files
To make the print process as smooth as possible, please set up your artwork as follows:
- at the required finished size, as a high resolution PDF
 - including 3mm bleed on the top and both sides
 - including a 150mm bleed at the bottom (to allow for the roller mechanism)

When your artwork is ready, you can upload it using our secure WeTransfer service.
No Design? No Problem
If you’re not confident setting up your artwork, our in-house design team can help. Whether you need a full design created from scratch or just a little help adjusting your existing artwork, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Storage & Care Tips for Longevity
Roller banners are built to last but a few simple habits will help you get even more use out of them:
- Always roll the banner down slowly into the base, never let it snap back
 - Store it in the carry bag when not in use, to protect against dust and scratches
 - Keep it dry and avoid exposing the unit to moisture or direct sunlight for long periods
 - Transport with care, especially if using a premium or wide-format unit

Looking after your banner means fewer replacements and a smaller impact on your wallet and the planet.
