Moody's Digital Delivery

Moody's Analytics is a preferred training partner for many of the world's leading financial institutions. Each year Moody's delivers over 2,500 days of instructor-led training including over 300 open-enrolment workshops in major financial centres around the world. Their expertise covers risk, credit, financial markets and professional skills training at fundamental through to advanced levels. In addition to classroom training, Moody's provides industry-leading eLearning and Certification solutions for individual and institutional clients. 


The iQ Digital House have provided Moody's with a responsive on demand printing service for all training documentation requirements, inclusive of global distribution, for the past 8 years. With technological advances bringing about changes in the corporate training landscape, Moody's took the initiative by providing a digital delivery solution for their training documentation. As the current supplier and with experience in Solution Provision, The iQ Digital House, in partnership with YUDU, were the natural choice to support Moody's with this migration. 

The Brief

The Moody's solution was driven by a desire from clients for a digital option for their training material that was more advanced and engaging than a simple static PDF or printed binder. The digital solution needed to have the ability to add the interactivity to classroom training materials that can be found in eLearning and other sources of online learning such as YouTube.

Moody's also wanted the ability to continually update content and deliver those updates instantly to workshop participants, increasing long-term engagement. In the long term this solution will allow Moody's and their clients to rely less on printed materials, reduce paper wastage and save on the cost of shipping.

Digital Rights Management was also an absolute necessity, as sharing unprotected documents was not a realistic or safe option for a business that generates revenue through intellectual property. 

The Solution

Moody's required a reliable and secure service that would enable delegates to access content across a variety of platforms. In replacement of printed material, the platform allows users to annotate, make notes and highlight specific content within documents, which are then synchronised across their devices. 

In conjuntion with iQ's solution partner, the team provided Moody's with a self-contained branded app that workshop participants can download from the Apple and Google Play stores. Users log in to see their materials, specific to their learning pathway, and start engaging with them in minutes. As training venues do not always have reliable Internet access, workshop participants can download materials prior to training and engage with them in an offline environment. 

The team also built a front-end solution with a simple and clear interface allowing Moody's administrators to create User IDs for workshop participants and assign them specific course materials quickly and efficiently.

The ability for workshop participants to engage with materials in this way supports the blended learning approach and allows them to easily access their personalised training materials any time, from any device.
